Dr. Wangsoo Lee was born and raised in Busan, Korea. He came to U.S. after high school and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2016.
After his undergraduate degree, Dr. Lee earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) from Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine in 2020, graduating Omicron Kappa Upsilon and valedictorian of his class. He received a number of awards including the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for Excellence in Periodontics and the Academy of Osseointegration Outstanding Student in Implant Dentistry.
He then completed a 3-year residency, and earned his Master’s of Science and Certificate in Periodontics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry from 2020-2023. His research project was about soft tissue augmentation around the gingival recession defects. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontics, American Dental Association, Academy of Osseointegration, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.
Dr. Lee’s compassionate personality brings comfort and trust to the patients in his care. He offers a full range of periodontal and surgical procedures, including esthetic hard and soft tissue procedures, extractions, bone grafting, implant therapy, sedation, and the treatment of periodontal disease. Dr. Lee enjoys swimming, hiking, reading and cooking in his free time.
